Camp Music & Arts Conservatory Assistant Instructor - Camp Walter Johnson
Location: Camp Walter Johnson, Denton, NC
Position Type: Temporary Full-Time - Overnight Residential
Pay Range: $300.00 per week.
About this opportunity:
Plans, coordinates, and assists the assigned functions of the Conservatory Music & Creative Arts program; ensures the quality of programs and safety of youth at all times; provides guidance and role modeling to youth and ensures safety and a positive experience for campers. Music & Arts Instructors will each have at least one specific field of instruction either in Acting, Brass, Choral, Dance, Guitar, Percussion, Piano, and/or Visual Arts.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a summer camp environment where physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with grass, dirt, and the like may be possible. Work will involve some exposure to outdoor temperatures and varying environmental conditions; however, most instruction will take place indoors and in a normal school and/or church environment. This is an overnight, residential position.

Additional Information:
Camp Staff Orientation will be held June 10-15, 2025, and participation is required. The 2025 Summer Camp Program will be held June 16, 2025 – July 19, 2025. If you are unable to work the entire program session, please let us know on your application.
Camp Staff debrief will be held 07/20/2025 and participation is required.
