Job summary

Compass Group USA's ESS Support Services Worldwide – Alaska and Gulf of Mexico is hiring for Camp Manager positions in Nome, AK. The role supports training initiatives, food programs, events, account openings, and refreshes with account Chefs and team members.

We seek culinary professionals with ServSafe, a culinary degree or equivalent, and 3-5 years of culinary experience including 1-3 years of management; 365-day, 24-hour service mindset; competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or comparable four year culinary development experience
• 3-5 years of relevant culinary experience; 1-3 years of culinary management experience
• ServSafe Certification
• Working knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food safety standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable
• Desire to learn and grow with a top notch foodservice company

Responsibilities

• Maintains high standards for all implemented Food Programs, workplace safety and food safety
• Demonstrates proficiency in menu development, cost controls, purchasing and inventory with a focus on sourcing and utilizing local food production
• Utilizes knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Pay Range: $38.68 per hour
