Job summary

A high school diploma and at least one year in maintenance or related trades are required, with certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Ability and willingness to obtain certifications.
Ability to organize and supervise people and tasks.
General knowledge of multiple plant systems.
Some experience in most of the construction trades.
Physically able to perform the work.
One year of prior experience in maintenance, facilities, repair, or a related field.
Positive, flexible attitude.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct workers assigned to you.
Supervise staff including summer and winter crews.
Maintain a positive attitude toward staff and others.
Collaborate with work crew bosses to ensure a positive experience on the property.
Maintain operating records as required by the site and facilities superintendent.
Possess basic knowledge of hand tools and some power tools.
Operate and maintain camp property per instructions from the supervisor and camping manager.
Work toward yearly camping goals as outlined.
Relate to site supervisor and staff across departments to ensure smooth program operation.
Engage with the local community to reflect Young Life policies.
