Job summary

Buckner International is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to ensure guest areas at Camp Buckner are clean, safe, and welcoming. You will work on site in Burnet, TX, collaborating with the Housekeeping Supervisor to schedule and execute cleaning duties for cabins, lodge rooms, meeting spaces, and other camp areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently for the role.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred to support communication with Spanish-speaking clients.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to perform basic repairs on furnishings and equipment.
• Organizational skills for checklists, record keeping, and inventory control.
• Safety coordinator for the housekeeping team and liaison with supervisors.
• Willingness to work before/after hours, including nights and weekends.
• Driver's license with ability to drive Buckner vehicles; maintain insurance as required.
• Maintain confidentiality in all job duties.
• Proficient with MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on retreat group schedules and guest service needs.
• Clean and prepare cabins, lodge rooms, admin areas, and meeting rooms for guests.
• Assist with minor building repairs and report issues that cannot be repaired.
• Use provided tools and training to complete work safely and effectively.
• Provide housekeeping support for retreats, conferences, and events.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Identify unsafe situations and report concerns promptly.
• Respond to inquiries and communicate information to supervisor.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed and support other departments.
