Job summary

M. Glosser & Sons is seeking a Laborer in Camp Hill, PA to perform general stocking labor, moving freight, and handling materials on a daily basis.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Laborer will perform general stocking labor including moving freight, stock, and other materials.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use lifting equipment safely to load and unload trucks and racks
• Ensure that incoming and outgoing products and quantities are correct and match bills of ladings
• Ensure incoming and outgoing products meet quality standards
• Assist with shearing and other material processing
• Assist other employees as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to handle materials and equipment in a responsible manner.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
• Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
• Exposures encountered loud noise, or extreme heat/cold.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• At least one year of related experience is preferred.
• Experience with using forklifts, lift trucks, and cranes is highly preferred.
• Experience with operating a shear preferred, not required.
