Job summary

Mount Hermon Association, Inc. is seeking a KC Head Cook to direct kitchen operations at the camp, preparing, serving, and storing food under the Food Service Administrator to ensure safe and nutritious meals. This ministerial role supports MHAs mission and values.

The position includes supervising assistants and summer staff, with requirements for some college and ServSafe certification, plus experience in the food service industry. Flexibility and adherence to MHAs policies are expected.

Qualifications

• Some college or more, dependent upon skills.
• Food Handler’s card or ServSafe certification.
• Food Service industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete menu as provided and instructed by the Food Service Administrator.
• Pull, prepare, serve and store food in accordance with food handling procedures to ensure safe, nutritious meals for camps enjoyment and to prevent food spoilage and/or foodborne illness.
• Maintain accurate records of refrigerators and freezers temperatures to ensure compliance with food service specifications.
• Conduct inventory as needed by the Food Service Administrator.
• Clean ovens, grills and ventilation hood as required by Food Service Administrator to maintain sanitary standards.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
