Job summary

Galileo Learning is seeking an experienced Camp Director to lead our K–8 summer camps. You will open and operate a Galileo camp location, lead a seasonal team of educators, and ensure joyful, safe environments with exceptional program quality and customer care.

You will serve as the public face of the camp and oversee operations from preseason through wrap-up. You will manage scheduling, payroll, and staff development, while collaborating with the Field Program Manager to maintain Galileo’s

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with students in an education setting.
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing or supervising adult staff.
• Ability to schedule, payroll, and ongoing performance management.

Responsibilities

• Infuse camp with joy, tradition, and creativity.
• Own every aspect of your camp’s launch, from preseason planning through end-of-summer wrap-up.
• Oversee daily camp operations and parent communication while delivering an exceptional program.
• Prioritize camper safety, family trust, and program fidelity at all times.
• Train and mentor a staff of 7 to 40, including educators and entry-level staff, and build team culture.
• Lead the Galileo Innovation Approach to encourage curiosity and problem-solving.
