Job summary

Easter Seals Tennessee Inc is seeking a Camp Counselor to supervise and engage campers (1–3 individuals) during scheduled sessions, including long weekends in December and March and a full week in August. You will support daily activities, monitor safety, and promote a respectful, inclusive environment.

The role requires being at least 18, having a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have a high-school diploma or GED.
• Be able to pass a drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Engage campers in daily planned activities, improvise, and adjust to changes in activities.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene and ADLs such as toileting, bathing, ambulating, transfers, feeding, and dressing.
• Interact with campers in a respectful, age-appropriate and culturally-appropriate manner; respect preferences and requests.
• Assist with teaching, coordinating, and carrying out planned activities.
• Promote a positive environment and person-centered practices; model respectful interactions.
• Treat campers, staff, customers and visitors with professionalism and respect; document incidents when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
