Job Title: KidStrong Camp Coach

Location: Littleton

Reports To: General Manager / Assistant General Manager

Compensation Range: $17 - $20 based on experience

Are you energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping kids grow? Do you love creating fun and engaging experiences for children? If so, KidStrong wants you to join our team as a KidStrong Camp Coach! As a Coach, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering our dynamic curriculum and making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.

The Role & Schedule

• The KidStrong Camp Coach will coach children through daily programming designed to support brain, physical, and character development.
• The ideal candidate must be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding any incidents during camp.
• Camps run from 9am - 4pm.
• Opportunity to increase scheduled hours through party coaching hours.

Coach Responsibilities

• Manage camp groups of up to 20-30 children, ages 4-9 years old.
• Teach the KidStrong Camp curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team.
• Ensure camp starts and ends on schedule and follows the planned schedule.
• Greet and check-in kids as they arrive and keep accurate attendance records.
• Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor during activities.
• Demonstrate and manage exercises, working in a physically intense environment and repeatedly lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Maintain cleanliness of the center, including lobby, bathrooms, and floors, by taking out trash, sweeping, mopping, wiping equipment, and sanitizing mats.
• Communicate professionally with co-workers via Slack, including periodic message checks.
• Complete required training and obtain necessary certifications, including In-Center Camp Rollout and Camp Coach Exam, signed off by Center Leadership.
• Work directly with kids to ensure proper technique and safety.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings as required.
• Supervise and ensure safety and program implementation for campers.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Qualifications

• Passion for working with children is essential.
• Prior experience coaching children in the appropriate age group preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
