Job Title: KidStrong Camp Coach Center: Littleton Reports To: General Manager / Assistant General Manager Compensation Range: $17 - $20 based on experience
Are you energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping kids grow? Do you love creating fun and engaging experiences for children? If so, KidStrong wants you to join our team as a KidStrong Camp Coach! As a Coach, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering our dynamic curriculum and making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
THE ROLE & SCHEDULE
The KidStrong Camp Coach would coach children through daily programming designed to support brain, physical and character development.
Ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding any incidents that take place during camp.
Camps run from 9am - 4pm
Opportunity to increase scheduled hours through party coaching hours
COACH RESPONSIBILITIES
Camp group sizes up to 20 - 30 children, ages ranging from 4-9 years old
Teach the KidStrong Camp curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team.
Ensure camp starts and ends on schedule and follows camp schedule.
Greet and check-in kids as they arrive to camp and keep an accurate record of attendance at all times.
Maintain dynamic, fun, motivational and professional demeanor when leading camp activities.
Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises - must be able to work in a physically intense environment and repeatedly move and lift up to 25 pounds.
Ensure cleanliness of the center including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shift.
Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers.
Complete required training and must obtain In-Center Camp Rollout, Camp Coach Exam, and be signed off by a Center Leadership.
Must be comfortable working directly with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong General Manager.
Supervision, safety, and program implementation for campers while ensuring the well-being of all children.
Other duties as required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred
CPR/First Aid certified
Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills
Self-starter who just gets a job done
