Monday-Friday

7:30am Pick up bus at Park to head to the Butler Y to pick campers up (CLOCK-IN)

Monday-Friday

7:30am Pick up bus at Park to head to the Butler Y to pick campers up (CLOCK-IN)

9:00am Drops off campers off at the Park (CLOCK-OUT)

3:15pm Loads bus at the Park to take campers back to the Butler Y (CLOCK-IN)

5:00pmReturn to the Park to leave the bus for the night (CLOCK-OUT)

There are the following field trips we would need someone most likely to all day.

Jennings- June 27th

Keystone Safari- July 2nd

Yogi Bear- July 21st

Moraine- Aug 13th

Playthings etc.- August 20th

Position Summary

The Bus Driver at Butler County Family YMCA provides safe transportation to and from program sites while maintaining a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

Qualifications

• State requires all prospective employees to submit the following:
• FBI Clearance (Department of Human Services),
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance,
• PA State Police Clearance,
• National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR) Certificate,
• Health Assessment with TB screening
• Valid Driver’s License; required. Possess appropriate class license.
• At least one-year work experience as a bus driver; preferred.
• Knowledge of the rules/guidelines related to commercial passenger vehicles (bus).
• High School diploma or equivalent; required.
• Minimum age of 18; required.
• CPR/Pediatric First Aid/AED Certification required within 60 days of employment by PQAS certified trainer; required.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
  
  

Essential Functions

• Drives bus safely according to YMCA policies and procedures and state laws.
• Develops and maintains positive relationshipswith volunteers, members or program participants, and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
• Creates a safe environment in which others feel welcome and respected.
• Promotes safety at all times by keeping first aid supplies fully stocked.
• Ensures that bus rules are announced and followed.
• Completes thorough before-and-after trip checks each day and records all information, such as gas level, mileage, and maintenance on designated forms.
• Cleans out bus each day.
• Communicates regularly with other staff members and supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to respond to emergency situations. Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activity.

ALL POSITIONS REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING CLEARANCES FOR EMPLOYMENT PRIOR TO THE DATE OF HIRE. CLEARANCES ARE ACCEPTED WITHIN 2 YEARS OF THE HIRE DATE.

• FBI (DHS) FINGERPRINTING HISTORY CLEARANCE
