Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Painter to join our Pennsylvania-based team. You will spray paints on vehicles and related equipment, applying specialty coatings and ensuring accurate color matching per manuals.

The role involves setting up spray equipment, mixing paints, inspecting surfaces for prep, and following safety regulations. This is an on-site, full-time position with potential shift assignments on demand.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of vehicle painting experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 2nd shift may be assigned based on workload.

Responsibilities

• Spray paints vehicles, special weapons items, guided missile systems, and related equipment.
• Applies specialty coatings such as crinkle finishes, nonskid, rubber coatings, and fluorescent touch-up paint.
• Follows safety requirements and uses electrostatic spray equipment.
• Reads and interprets technical manuals to determine paint types and markings.
• Maintains and adjusts spray guns and nozzles for proper finish.
