Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Occupational Therapist for the Tier 4 day service in Dorset. This role supports young people with eating disorders and other mental health needs in a community setting, with a focus on developing the day service and reducing hospital admissions.

The post is a secondment / fixed-term position until 30 October 2027, requiring CAMHS experience and collaboration with families in a multi-disciplinary team. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in CAMHS and/or eating disorders.
• Deliver structured therapeutic interventions.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Carry out specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
• Maintain accurate records and outcome measures.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions to children and young people at the day service.
• Deliver individual and group-based therapeutic programmes.
• Complete risk assessments and contribute to risk management planning.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with families, carers and partner agencies.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and outcome measures.
• Support service development, supervision and training activities.
