Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is hiring an Occupational Therapist for CAMHS within a multi-agency framework. You will manage a defined caseload, assess needs with specialist tools, and deliver tailored interventions to maximize independence and function in young people.

The role supports visa sponsorship where eligible, with a fixed-term 12 months and standard hours from 09:00 to 17:00, fostering professional development and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Registered with the HCPC.
• Must hold or gain a practice education qualification.
• Up-to-date mandatory and statutory training (e.g. Fire safety, management of aggression).
• Specialist OT skills in mental health and/or work with young people from multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Work within Renfrewshire CAMHS within a multi-agency structure.
• Independently manage a caseload of complex cases as care manager/key worker as required.
• Assess occupational needs using specialist tools to plan, implement, grade and evaluate treatment with safety considerations.
• Assess individuals to determine need for occupational therapy intervention through client-centered practice.
• Collaborate with service users to identify goals as part of the care plan using standardised assessment tools.
