Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an engineer for the Camera Performance team in Cupertino to optimize power and performance while delivering top-tier image quality and a fluid user experience across Apple devices.

You will set up experimental boards, measure power, profile memory and performance, and collaborate with software and hardware teams to realize silicon capabilities. Strong C/C++/Objective-C skills and profiling expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C, C++, or Objective-C.
• Knowledge of OS, systems, computer architecture and electrical engineering.
• Experience with virtual memory, scheduling, IPC / inter-process communication, and synchronization.
• Expertise in software profiling techniques and tools (Xcode, valgrind, vmmap, Instruments, VTune, or Perfetto).
• Ability to quickly understand and debug unfamiliar codebases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the experimental methodology and setup for power and performance measurements of the camera SW team.
• Triage issues and bugs in the camera SW stack power and performance.
• Work with automation team to integrate dashboards and measurements for camera power and performance.
