Job summary

Apple's Camera Software team in California seeks engineers to contribute to camera features across devices. You will translate leadership requests into actionable specifications, implement new features, and ensure performance and image quality.

Collaborating with hardware and software partners, you will review changes, analyze bottlenecks in imaging pipelines, and tackle complex problems using C, C++, and Objective-C to deliver a seamless media experience.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Objective-C.
• Experience in software development and debugging in embedded environments
• Experience and/or coursework in image processing or imaging pipelines
• Strong collaborative and communication skills. Passionate about working in larger cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and translate requests and requirements from leadership and cross-functional partners into an implementable specification
• Implement code to build new features and behavior.
• Collaborate with peers to ensure changes behave well alongside existing features and devices.
• Review code changes from peers
• Analyze and break down complex problems and behavior. Identify weak spots and performance bottlenecks.
• Review hardware specs and translate changes into software change requirements
