Job summary

Apple is seeking a Camera Hardware Engineer to help design and validate camera systems from sensor to lens, collaborating across teams to deliver extraordinary image quality in smartphones and other devices.

The role requires hands-on circuit design, layout supervision, and thorough testing of high-speed interfaces and power integrity in a fast-paced hardware environment. On-site in California with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with relevant industry experience.
• Experience in analog/digital circuit design and schematic capture.
• Knowledge of signal and power integrity, grounding and EMI/EMC/ESD.
• Experience with camera hardware modules and high-speed interfaces is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive component level requirements and develop camera module schematics.
• Supervise layout for PCB, Flex, and substrates.
• Analyze parasitics and ensure operation across voltage and temperature.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and validate designs.
• Develop prototypes for new camera features and bring-up hardware.
