Documentary · New York City
ACMER is filming short documentary-style stories about real makers and small business owners, and we need a NYC videographer who can shoot and edit one start to finish. The day: about 4 to 5 hours at one creator's workspace. A simple interview, B-roll of them making things, product shots, and a few portraits if possible. The deliverable: one 3 to 5 minute video (16:9) with basic color, audio cleanup, simple titles and music. No motion graphics or VFX. You'll be great if you film people naturally, can run a relaxed interview, and edit your own footage. Makers, crafts, woodworking or jewelry experience is a plus. Gear: your own camera, mic and basic lighting. No cinema rig needed. Pay: up to $1,000, depending on your portfolio and scope. We'll send the story direction and talking points ahead of time. There may be more stories after this one.
