Job summary

UHP in Northwest Arkansas is seeking a skilled Camera Operator/Editor to capture authentic, visually compelling content across our veteran-focused programs, campus, and events. The role is hands-on, filming live classroom instruction, training, and campus life to tell real stories.

Editing is a secondary responsibility, but the candidate should understand post-production workflows and assist with editing when needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven professional experience as a camera operator or shooter/editor.
  • Strong understanding of camera operation, preferably using Sony Cinema Line equipment.
  • Ability to capture compelling footage in active, real-world environments.
  • Experience operating drones, preferably the DJI Mavic 3, and handling field audio.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and standard post-production workflows.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with instructors, students, staff, and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality, creative video content across live classrooms, hands-on training, fitness, kitchens, and campus life.
  • Document instructor and student interactions, events, and unscripted moments with documentary-style videography.
  • Operate cameras, audio gear, basic lighting, and support production equipment.
  • Organize, label, back up, and transfer footage following media-management procedures.
  • Collaborate with Media and Marketing on schedules, shot lists, and storytelling objectives.
