Job summary

Apple's Camera Algorithm team is seeking engineers and researchers to develop next generation image capture, processing and rendering algorithms for Apple product cameras. You will research and implement tone mapping, HDR, and image quality improvements on device using Apple silicon like ISP and ANE.

You will prototype in Matlab/Python, collaborate with hardware teams, and influence visual quality across iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices.

Qualifications

• MS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
• Experience developing image processing algorithms (auto white balance, tone mapping, auto exposure and HDR capture).
• Validated coding skills in Python or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Prototype tone mapping algorithms in high level software languages (Matlab/Python).
• Implement, test and refine approaches in Apple products to meet image quality and timing criteria.
• Collaborate with hardware design teams to develop new image processing blocks.
• Influence the artistic look of Apple cameras across product categories and modalities.
• Define and develop feature proposals for different use cases targeting consumer and professional markets.
