Job summary

Apple is seeking an Image Quality Engineer in Montana to advance camera performance across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and more. You will lead lab-based image quality automation, validate real-world performance, and work closely with the Video Engineering team to ensure exceptional product experiences.

Responsibilities include building robust test automation, on-site verification, bug triage, and presenting findings to engineers and leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating image quality both subjectively and objectively.
• Knowledge of ISP pipeline and 3A metrics.
• Strong image/video processing capabilities.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages like Python or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Measure camera image quality metrics and build automation for lab-based grading.
• Maintain and extend test automation frameworks for new features and regression tests.
• Perform on-site camera image quality verification and initial bug triage.
• Participate in code reviews and cross-functional discussions; run field and lab experiments.
• Analyze, reproduce, and isolate image quality issues from lab and field tests.
• Summarize findings and present to teams, including exec demos.
