Location: Cupertino, California, United States

Description

As a Camera Image Quality Lab Engineer, you will primarily work in a lab environment to test camera video quality. Your responsibilities include understanding image quality performance metrics, developing new test methodologies, and creating robust automation frameworks to measure performance results. You will also conduct real-world camera image quality verification, identify algorithm bugs, and perform initial analysis and triaging.

You will collaborate directly with the development team to design test strategies for video features in camera products. Your role involves participating in quality evaluations of new features and algorithms through laboratory and field studies, providing feedback to engineering teams, and summarizing findings for presentation to cross-functional teams, including executives. This position requires thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative, and multitasking environment, with occasional night testing to meet project needs.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience
2. 3 years of experience in image quality assessment
3. Strong knowledge of subjective and objective image quality evaluation
4. Understanding of ISP pipeline and 3A evaluation
5. Experience in lab and real-world testing environments
6. Proficiency in MATLAB or Python
7. Attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

1. Proficiency in C/C++
2. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
