Apple Inc. in Cupertino, CA is seeking an Image Processing Engineer to help transform raw sensor data into high-quality photos. You will analyze sensor data, develop GPU-accelerated algorithms, and push improvements from prototype to production on Apple devices.

Strong programming in Swift/Metal/Objective-C, plus experience with image processing on GPUs, is required. A Masters or PhD in imaging or related field is preferred with 3+ years’ experience.

Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Imaging, Color, Vision, Computer, Optics or EE with 3+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in Apple platforms development (Swift, Objective-C) and GPU programming.
• Experience with image processing algorithms on GPUs and general image analysis.

Responsibilities

• Work with early-stage hardware prototypes to gather sensor information.
• Analyse sensor data from camera modules.
• Develop algorithms to address image artifacts from hardware deficiencies.
• Implement algorithms on-device to run efficiently on the GPU.
