Job summary

Propio Language Services is seeking Cambodian onsite interpreters in the Seattle, WA area to facilitate accurate English-Cambodian interpretation for multiple assignments. This is an independent contractor opportunity, with travel to on-site locations as required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Professional proficiency in English and Cambodian.
• One+ years of professional interpreting experience.
• Successful completion of applicable language and interpreting proficiency evaluations.
• Submission of a current résumé in English during the application process.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience, where required by applicable client credentialing standards.
• Basic computer and technology proficiency.
• Ability to reliably travel to and from accepted onsite assignments.
• Background, security, fingerprinting, and/or drug screening may be required for certain assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and Cambodian during onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable to assignments.
• Follow applicable interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and data-protection as required by HIPAA/FERPA/GLBA and client policies.
• Interact professionally with clients, patients, and healthcare professionals.
