This long-term opportunity involves work on active submarines, surface ships, and shore facilities, with travel to shipyards and bases as required. Selected candidates will use mechanical tools to install, upgrade and remove equipment, perform alterations, and contribute to modernization projects that enhance fleet readiness and mission

Responsabilités

• Travel to shipyards and military bases around or outside the country for local or travel assignments.
• Use mechanical tools to install, upgrade and remove industrial equipment on active class submarines, surface ships, and shore-based facilities.
• Assist with alterations and installations as part of the Platform Modernization team.
• Collaborate with technicians and ship personnel to support modernization efforts across platforms.

Job Description

This is a pipeline requisition for potential shipboard Trades for fleet modernization in the Norfolk, VA area. These Trades will be supporting our Platform Modernization department working on active class submarines, surface ships, and shore-based communication facilities using various mechanical tools to install, upgrade and remove industrial equipment to assist with alterations and installations. Selected candidates will be required to travel to shipyards and military bases located around or out of the country when not assigned to a local task. Per Diem provided based on location when on travel; travel and lodging expenses are covered by the company.
