Go Spindle in Santa Monica, CA seeks a dedicated educator for a full-time contract in a special education classroom serving students with moderate to severe needs. The role supports elementary or high school settings, with strong paraprofessional backing, and runs August 17, 2026 to June 9, 2027.

The educator will deliver individualized instruction aligned to IEP goals, develop accommodations, monitor progress, and collaborate with families and service providers in a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Active California Education Specialist Credential in Moderate/Severe or ESN is required.
• Experience with students with moderate to severe disabilities or medically fragile populations preferred.
• Knowledge of IEP development, behavior support strategies, and differentiated instruction.

Responsibilities

Make a meaningful impact during the 2026–2027 school year in a specialized special education classroom serving students with moderate to severe/extensive support needs. This full-time contract opportunity offers placement in either an elementary classroom with strong paraprofessional support or a high school classroom serving medically fragile students.

Position Details

• Location:Santa Monica, CA
• School Year:August 17, 2026 – June 9, 2027
• Schedule:Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Hours:37.5 hours per week

Caseload Options

• Elementary Classroom:Approximately 10 students with multiple instructional assistants/paraprofessionals providing classroom support.
• High School Classroom:Serving medically fragile students in a specialized educational setting.

Qualifications
