You will handle intake calls, verify demographics, and help route referrals to the appropriate providers, with emphasis on accurate documentation and timely response.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred Associate Degree.
• 1–3 years of related work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses, basic chemical dependency, age-specific growth and development and crisis/behavior management.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones and collects demographic information for the person to be assessed.
• Coordinates and processes patient transfer documents and paperwork.
• Ensures information is accurately documented within multiple information system programs.
• Assists Mobile Assessment Team Evaluator with commitment and transfer processes as needed.

Behavioral Health Connections (BHC) in Dallas TX, is seeking a dynamic and talented Call Center Specialist PRN to work 12 hours varied Shifts in the team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. The Call Center Specialist performs administrative functions to include assistance in the processes for managing patient care by monitoring referrals and connecting them to relevant health care providers. Organizing, facilitating, and coordinating the timely evaluation with therapist and the acceptance of patients referred for services, insurance verification and data entry.
