Job summary

Behavioral Health Connections, Inc. is in search of a PRN Call Center Specialist in Atlanta, GA. You will perform critical administrative tasks, managing patient care by coordinating referrals and ensuring timely evaluations with the dedicated therapy team.

This role requires attention to detail and good communication skills. Candidates should have a High School Diploma and preferably an Associate Degree, along with experience in crisis management.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of work-related experience preferred in mental health services.
• Knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses and symptomology is a plus.
• Understanding of crisis and behavior management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and gather demographic information.
• Coordinate paperwork for patient transfers.
• Document required information in system programs.
• Assist with commitment processes and related paperwork.

Behavioral Health Connections (BHC) in Atlanta, GA is seeking a dynamic and talented Call Center Specialist PRN in the team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. The Call Center Specialist performs administrative functions to include assistance in the processes for managing patient care by monitoring referrals and connecting them to relevant health care providers. Organizing, facilitating, and coordinating the timely evaluation with therapist and the acceptance of patients referred for services, insurance verification and data entry.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Answers phones at Behavioral Health Connections and takes demographic information related to the person to be assessed.
• Coordinates and processes patent documents and paperwork for patient transfers.
• Assures all required information is accurately documented within several information system programs.
• Assists Mobile Assessment Team Evaluator with commitment process, paperwork, and transfer process, if necessary.

EXPERIENCE

Preferred 1-3 years work related experience

Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
