Job summary

Capital Area Health Network (CAHN) is hiring a Call Center Representative in Richmond, VA. The role focuses on answering inbound calls, scheduling medical appointments, and coordinating patient transportation with a culturally and linguistically appropriate approach.

You will verify patient information, assist with billing data, and support the Transportation Department. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office or call center, and familiarity

Qualifications

  • Experience in a call center and/or medical office strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with eClinicalWorks is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls and online appointment requests.
  • Accurately schedule patient appointments for all providers and locations.
  • Enter and verify patient demographics and billing information.
  • Coordinate transportation requests with the Transportation Department.
  • Update patient information in the EHR (eClinicalWorks) and educate patients on appointment importance.

This role includes scheduling medical appointments and transportation for new and existing patients while ensuring culturally and linguistically appropriate service.Essential FunctionsThe following duties are essential functions of this position.
