Job description

Position Summary:

The Call Center Associate I will join our Bronx-based call center team to support the operations of our various health centers. The ideal candidate must be driven and ambitious, capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. We seek customer service professionals passionate about community-based healthcare. Although this position is remote, it requires some monthly onsite meetings in the Bronx. Applicants must reside locally in the New York City area. Company equipment will be provided, but the candidate must have a suitable home workspace with a desk that can securely accommodate dual monitors, a computer, and other hardware.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • This is an entry-level position with training provided.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills is essential.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to excellence.
Key Duties:
  • Answer high-volume telephone calls, schedule medical appointments, and relay messages according to organizational standards.
  • Respond to and resolve patient requests and concerns.
  • Refer clinical questions to medical providers.
  • Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
  • Update existing patient demographic information.
  • Confirm insurance details when necessary.
  • Reschedule, cancel, or verify patient appointments as needed.
  • Uphold "WE CARE" performance standards in line with Urban Health Plan's Operating Credo.
Starting Compensation:

Minimum $17.25/hour ($35,880/year); maximum $17.25/hour ($35,880/year).

Work Environment, Location, and Schedule:

Remote, Bronx, NY. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm, with rotating Saturday shifts from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
