Jobot is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney with 1+ years of experience to join our California team. This role offers opportunities to deepen litigation skills across serious injury matters, auto accidents, premises liability, and other torts.

You will engage in case strategy, depositions, negotiations, and trial preparation, advancing within a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment. The position is hybrid in Pleasant Hill, CA, with other California offices, and requires a J.D.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership and good standing with the California State Bar.
• 1+ years of legal experience, preferably in civil litigation, personal injury, insurance defense, plaintiff litigation, or another litigation-focused practice.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professional, client-focused approach.
• A genuine interest in developing as a litigator and taking on increasing responsibility.
• Personal injury experience is not required for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential personal injury claims and assist with case strategy.
• Meet with clients, understand their circumstances, and provide clear legal guidance.
• Investigate accidents and gather relevant evidence and documentation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other legal documents.
• Manage written discovery and assist with case development.
• Take and defend depositions as experience permits.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, experts, and other involved parties.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibits, evidence, and trial strategy.
• Work with medical professionals, investigators, experts, and other consultants when appropriate.
• Manage assigned cases efficiently while maintaining a high level of client service.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff throughout the life of each case.
