Job summary

Benchmark Education Company seeks a National Literacy Consultant for California to drive implementation of ELA resources and provide professional learning to district leaders and educators. The role emphasizes presenting, coaching, and building strong partnerships, with remote and on-site delivery as needed.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Education and at least 5 years in K-12 education, with CA standards familiarity. Travel up to 70% within CA is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in K-12 education.
• Familiarity with CA state standards and literacy initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Train administrators, coaches, teachers and district leaders on ELA curriculum implementation.
• Deliver engaging professional development and in-service trainings.
• Serve as subject matter expert in Benchmark Education products and literacy pedagogy.
• Develop learning materials and tools for training and support under PD leadership.
• Coach teachers through classroom modeling, observation, and feedback.
