Job summary

True Talent Solutions Partners is seeking an associate attorney for a remote role handling a full civil litigation caseload in the United States, with Los Angeles as the primary location.

You will manage a broad range of general liability defense matters, from discovery through mediation and trial preparation, and you will contribute to client meetings and depositions while maintaining a substantial caseload.

Qualifications

• 2–8 years of civil defense litigation experience.
• Active California bar license in good standing.
• Defense-side law firm experience handling full caseloads, not only motions.
• Ability to independently manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
• Experience with depositions, court appearances, discovery drafting, and mediation or trial preparation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of general liability defense matters across premises liability, bodily injury, and casualty cases.

About the Role

Join a general liability defense practice as an associate attorney handling a full civil litigation caseload. This role offers responsibility across matters from discovery through mediation and trial preparation, with a potential path to more senior roles.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a caseload of general liability defense matters, including premises liability, personal injury, and casualty cases.

• Draft and respond to motions, complaints, and written discovery.

• Attend and defend depositions, appear at court hearings, and participate in client meetings.

• Assist with preparation for mediations and trials.

• Manage approximately 25 or more cases at a time and meet an annual billing expectation of approximately 1,950 hours.

What We’re Looking For

• Two to eight years of civil defense litigation experience, preferably in general liability, premises liability, bodily injury, personal injury, or casualty defense.

• Active California bar license in good standing and a JD from an ABA-approved law school.

• Defense-side law firm experience managing full caseloads, rather than working only on motions.

• Ability to independently manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.

• Experience with depositions, court appearances, discovery drafting, and mediation or trial preparation.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Westlaw, and LexisNexis.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $130,000 to $170,000 annually. Quarterly bonus opportunities are available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

This is a remote role in the United States, with Los Angeles, California as the primary location.
