Sedgwick is seeking a Complex Claims Advisor, California Expert, with OSIP licensing, to guide the complex claims team and ensure consistent resolutions. This role emphasizes litigation strategy, expert guidance across jurisdictions, and leadership in quality improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a California OSIP certification and experience advising on complex claims across lines of business, with a focus on accurate, timely resolutions and ongoing policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; industry designation(s) preferred; licenses as required for specific jurisdictions.
• California expert with OSIP Certification; specializing in litigation strategy and resolution.

Responsabilités

• Proactively and strategically oversee a complex claim inventory by assessing highly complex claims issues, providing oversight, and directing handling to achieve the best possible resolution.
• Assists the claims team as subject matter expert across lines of business and key jurisdictions on complex claim issues.
• Uses knowledge of all aspects of claims handling in evaluating exposure; recommends and directs action plans for issues or case resolution.
• Articulates and documents clear and concise file notes for stakeholders to understand issues and path to resolution.
• Facilitates roundtables with groups/teams; engages internal and external resources as needed.
• Provides technical leadership on complex claim issues; promotes a culture of continual quality improvement.
• Assists in the evaluation and development of policies and procedures.
• Mentors complex claim consultants, adjusters and team leads; leads calibration exercises to ensure consistency.
