Job summary

Scientific Safety Alliance is seeking a Calibration Technician in Peuelas, Puerto Rico for a six-month temporary, full-time assignment. You will calibrate process and control instrumentation, install and configure equipment, and troubleshoot system issues to support operations.

Applicants should have an associate degree in a technical field, 1+ year calibration experience preferred, and be bilingual in Spanish and English with a Puerto Rico driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Applied Science, or a related technical field.
• 1+ years calibration experience preferred.
• Knowledge of process and control equipment: calibration, maintenance, configuration, installation.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Valid Puerto Rico driverense.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and night shifts.

What You’ll Do

As a Calibration Technician, you will support process and control instrumentation activities, including:

• Perform calibration of process and control instrumentation.
• Install and configure instrumentation and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues.
• Perform basic maintenance and technical adjustments as required.
• Analyze changes in instrument values and identify potential operational impacts.
• Diagnose technical issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to calibration and instrumentation activities.
• Support additional technical activities based on operational needs.

What We’re Looking For

• Associate degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Applied Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience in instrumentation, electronics, calibration, or a related field.
• One (1) or more years of calibration experience preferred.
• Knowledge of process and control equipment, including:
• Calibration
• Maintenance
• Configuration
• Installation
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to evaluate technical information, understand the impact of changes in values, and make sound decisions.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Valid Puerto Rico driver’s license.
• Availability to work overtime, weekends, and night shifts, as operational needs require.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in cGMP or ISO-regulated environments.
• Knowledge of data management programs.
• TWIC credential is a plus.
