Job summary

McGrath Rent Corp. is seeking a Calibration Technician to calibrate, test, troubleshoot and repair electronic test equipment. You will document actions in inventory systems and assist customers with technical issues in a fast-paced lab environment.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of calibration theory and electronics, plus basic computer skills to maintain equipment histories. On-site role with benefits and family-friendly policies, often involving occasional travel or on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in the theory of operation, application, calibration and maintenance of electronic products.
• Knowledge of electronic equipment; General Purpose, RF, Telecom, Oscilloscopes, Optical, etc.
• Basic computer skills to maintain equipment history databases and control test equipment.
• Strong customer focus, teamwork, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Document actions in computerized inventory management system.
• Assist internal and external customers with technical issues.
• Clean and accessorize equipment and maintain a lab area.
• Calibrate equipment using manual or automated procedures.
• Perform functional tests and upgrade firmware as needed.
• Identify and test parts and accessories for various test equipment.
