Job summary

Asplundh Electrical Testing is seeking a Calibration Technician with strong metrology expertise to join our team. The role involves in‑lab and field calibrations, ensuring NIST‑traceable accuracy and compliance across electrical test systems.

You will support quality, safety, and operational excellence while working with advanced metrology tools and data‑driven process improvements. Travel to sites may be required, and a valid driver’s license is expected.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hands‑on calibration and metrology experience.
• Experience in commercial or accredited calibration laboratories, field service, or military roles.
• Strong foundation in electrical measurement principles, calibration theory, measurement uncertainty, and traceability systems.
• Experience calibrating and troubleshooting DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other test equipment.
• Experience working within regulated quality systems and supporting audits.

Responsibilities

• Perform in‑lab and on‑site calibrations for electrical, mechanical, and thermal instruments with full traceability to standards.
• Manage calibration workflows, records, and assets using Fluke MET/CAL, MET/TEAM, and the Fluke Portal.
• Evaluate results for drift, uncertainty, and process capability; recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed calibration reports using Crystal Reports and advanced Excel.
• Assist audits by presenting calibration procedures and traceability documentation.
