Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services is seeking a Field Service Engineer I/II - Calibration Technician to perform calibrations, qualifications, preventive maintenance and repairs on pipettes and small lab instruments.

The role requires travel to customer sites, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced lab environment. The position is full-time, on-site in San Jose, CA with a Monday–Friday schedule and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two- or four-year degree in a related science field and 0-3 years field service experience.
• Ability to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Physically capable to lift and transport equipment.
• Clear, respectful verbal and written communication.
• Technical troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel up to 5 days/week and overnight as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations/qualification and preventive maintenance on pipettes and small lab instruments.
• Travel to customer sites to perform calibrations and PMs as necessary.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment in field and lab.
• Manage personal parts inventory.
• Provide feedback to Manager on issues impacting service delivery.
• Complete administrative paperwork and reports promptly and accurately.
• Follow GDP and SOPs; ensure training remains current.
• Maintain client confidentiality and communicate effectively with clients and internal/external parties.
