Job summary

MSI Viking is seeking an experienced Calibration Technician to perform calibration and testing of dimensional gages, hand tools, and metrology equipment in line with A2LA/ISO 17025 requirements.

This role is ideal for someone who is technically minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and with customers. Travel to support customer sites is required, and the position offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Calibration Technician.
• Strong mathematical skills and metrology knowledge.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration and testing of gages and tools.
• Ensure work complies with A2LA/ISO 17025 requirements.
• Update calibration tracking software and records.
• Generate calibration certificates and document results.
• Troubleshoot calibration and measurement issues.
• Coordinate with customers on service needs and technical concerns.
• Travel to support field service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated calibration and testing of dimensional gages, hand tools, and related metrology equipment
• Complete work in accordance with A2LA/ISO 17025 requirements
• Update calibration tracking software and maintain accurate records
• Generate calibration certifications and document results
• Troubleshoot calibration and measurement issues
• Communicate with customers regarding service needs and technical concerns
• Maintain productivity and quality standards
• Travel as needed to support customer and field service requirements

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Calibration Technician
• Strong mathematical skills
• Familiarity with metrology and calibration services
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated and eager to learn
• Ability to reason through and resolve complex customer concerns
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending, kneeling, and prolonged standing
• Ability to travel as needed
