Job summary

MSI Viking is seeking an Electronic Calibration Technician to calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and certify M&TE in line with ISO/IEC 17025 and A2LA requirements. You will ensure accurate measurements while supporting quality and compliance for customers nationwide.

Responsibilities include calibrations, certificates, and on-site work, with opportunities to grow in a collaborative team focused on precision and reliability.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of electronic metrology experience or PMEL/training program.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 quality requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, adjustment, troubleshooting, and repair on a wide range of electronic and electro-mechanical M&TE.
  • Follow procedures and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements for accurate calibrations.
  • Complete calibration certificates and maintain detailed documentation.
  • Utilize multifunction calibrators (Fluke 5500A/5700A series).
  • Operate high-precision instruments (Keysight 3458A and Fluke 8588A).
  • Maintain records using gage tracking software.
  • Assist with maintaining laboratory equipment and calibration standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Travel to customer sites for on-site calibration and related services.
  • Collaborate with team to meet turnaround times and quality targets.

Position Summary

MSI Viking is seeking an experienced Electronic Calibration Technician to calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and certify electronic and electro-mechanical measuring and test equipment (M&TE) in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and A2LA requirements.


This position plays a key role in ensuring our customers receive accurate, reliable measurement solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.



What You'll Do


  • Perform calibration, adjustment, troubleshooting, and repair on a wide range of electronic and electro-mechanical measuring and test equipment (M&TE).

  • Follow company procedures, manufacturer specifications, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements to ensure accurate and compliant calibrations.

  • Complete calibration certificates and maintain detailed documentation for all work performed.

  • Utilize multifunction calibrators, including the Fluke 5500A and 5700A series.

  • Operate high-precision instruments such as the Keysight 3458A and Fluke 8588A 8.5-digit multimeters.

  • Maintain accurate records using the company's gage tracking software.

  • Assist with maintaining laboratory equipment and calibration standards.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Travel to customer sites to perform on-site calibration and related services.

  • Collaborate with team members to meet customer turnaround times while delivering exceptional service.




  • 3-5 years of electronic metrology experience or successful completion of a Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) or equivalent metrology training program.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 quality requirements.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
