Job summary

Danfoss is seeking a Calibration Technician in Tallahassee, FL, to ensure accuracy of measuring systems used in manufacturing. You will perform calibration, maintain equipment records, and coordinate with ISO 17025-certified vendors to keep inspection tools within specification.

You’ll monitor calibration KPIs, troubleshoot nonconforming gauges, support NCRs, and work with cross‑functional teams to sustain quality and operational excellence across production lines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3 to 5 years of experience in calibration, quality, inspection, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.
• Hands-on experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and a basic understanding of GD&T.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and email, along with experience maintaining equipment records or databases.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, maintenance, and verification of measuring and test equipment, gauges, tools, and fixtures used throughout manufacturing operations.
• Manage calibration schedules and coordinate external calibration services with ISO 17025-certified vendors, ensuring compliance and timely completion.
• Monitor and maintain calibration KPIs, proactively identifying risks, escalating overdue or out-of-tolerance equipment, and supporting corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate calibration records, process purchasing requisitions and purchase orders, and support compliance with internal quality requirements and external standards.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, or disposition damaged or nonconforming gauges, while supporting investigations, NCR generation, and containment activities related to calibration failures.

The Impact You'll Make

As a Calibration Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the measurement systems that support manufacturing quality. Your work will help prevent defects, maintain compliance, and ensure products meet customer and industry standards.

In this hands‑on role, you’ll manage calibration activities, maintain equipment records, and partner with cross‑functional teams to keep critical inspection tools available and operating within specification. Your attention to detail will directly support operational excellence and product quality.

You’ll also have the opportunity to work with a variety of measurement equipment, collaborate with certified external calibration providers, and contribute to continuous improvement through data tracking and quality metrics.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We're Looking For
