Job summary

SpiTrex CTE is seeking a detail-oriented quality professional to calibrate and inspect medical device components. You will read procedures, setup gages, and perform in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with ISO13485 and 21 CFR Part 820.

This role emphasizes GD&T, metrology, and accurate record-keeping, with a focus on consistent calibration, data entry, and quality system adherence in a first-shift, on-site environment in Indiana.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of GD&T and metrology application.
  • Basic knowledge of gaging and reading technical documents.
  • Proficient in MS Office and record-keeping.
  • Ability to comply with ISO13485 and 21 CFR Part 820.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and calibrate various gages and measuring tools.
  • Read and interpret procedures, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Disassemble gages and clean them as required.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections to spec.
  • Verify calibration conditions and enter data into software.
  • Track calibration dates and communicate with customers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate labeling and records per quality system.

1st Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:30AM - 3:30PM; Friday, 6:30AM - 10:30AM

Essential Functions:
  • Manage and calibrate various gages – overlays, variable gages, attribute gages etc.
  • Read and interpret documents such as procedures, work instructions, specifications, drawings, and purchase orders.
  • Disassemble gages and clean accordingly
  • Perform in-process and final inspections on these assemblies by using measuring tools and ensuring they are in accordance with the applicable procedures/instructions
  • Verify conditions and calibration of all inspection and test equipment prior to use and completing the inspection.
  • Inputting calibration data into appropriate software
  • Ensure calibration dates are observed and track any gages past calibration
  • Contact customers for gaging as needed
  • Scheduling calibration dates as needed
  • Other work-related tasks as assigned
  • Conform to ISO13485, 21 CFR Part 820, and medical device industry requirements.
Competency:
  • Understanding of GD+T and metrology application
  • Basic knowledge of gaging
  • Understand CMM reports
  • Strong organization skills
  • Able to multitask
  • Basic math, calculation, and related skills needed
  • Understanding of labeling, coding, and accuracy in records very important
  • Ability to comply with Quality System requirements
  • Application of Statistics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
