Job description

Our client is seeking a hands‑on Calibration Technician to support GMP manufacturing operations in Rensselaer, NY. This role is primarily shop‑floor based and involves direct interaction with manufacturing equipment in a gowned cleanroom environment. The technician will be responsible for performing calibrations, troubleshooting instrumentation, and supporting daily manufacturing operations. While some calibration documentation and certificate review is required, the role is predominantly physical and operational, not office‑based.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on calibration of instruments and equipment across GMP manufacturing areas
• Troubleshoot, adjust, and maintain instrumentation in accordance with approved SOPs
• Work within gowned cleanroom environments for a significant portion of each shift
• Review calibration certificates for accuracy and GMP compliance (secondary responsibility)
• Partner with Metrology, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve calibration‑related issues
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation to support audit readiness
• Safely lift, move, and position equipment weighing up to 50 pounds as needed

Required Qualifications

5–8 years of hands‑on calibration or metrology experience in a GMP or regulated manufacturing environment

Strong working knowledge of instrumentation, calibration techniques, and troubleshooting

Ability to work the 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM shift

Gown qualified or able to become gown qualified
