Job Summary

What You Will Do

• Initial and periodic testing, calibration and certification of electronic and electromechanical test equipment under manufacturing and standards lab conditions prior to quality acceptance for usage in testing other instruments, components, units and systems.
• Perform diagnosis, repair, and modification in the servicing of all types of RMD and commercial electronic and electromechanical test equipment, including electronic functional and operation tests.
• Work any designated shift, including overnight.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED).
• Three (3) years of experience in operation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of electronic, electromechanical, standard and precision measuring equipment in a manufacturing and/or standards laboratory environment; or equivalent technical training in the repair and calibration of precision measuring equipment and the science of measurements (metrology).
• Experience working from test position calibration manuals, design drawings, sketches, handbooks, and engineering specifications.
• Experience using National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) specifications in job duties.
• Must pass qualifying and/or practical test.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance prior to the start date and maintain U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
