We are seeking a Calibration/Maintenance Technician II to join our Facilities Engineering & Technical Operations team. This hands‑on role is responsible for performing calibration, maintenance, and qualification activities on GxP and non‑GxP equipment and infrastructure.

• FLSA Classification: Hourly, Non‑Exempt
• Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Monday to Friday; On‑site
• Reports to: Senior Manager, Asset Lifecycle
• Location: 13203 Murphy Road Suite 100 Stafford, TX 77477

What You’ll Do:

• Perform routine calibrations and preventive maintenance on GxP and non‑GxP equipment to ensure regulatory compliance, optimal functionality, and equipment longevity.
• Plan, schedule, execute, and document all calibration and maintenance activities in accordance with internal procedures, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Support equipment qualification initiatives, ensuring alignment with operational readiness and project timelines.
• Participate in the equipment lifecycle process, including installation, startup, and preparation for qualification.
• Verify equipment performance against defined specifications and tolerances to ensure continued operational integrity.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues; perform minor repairs and coordinate with external service providers when advanced repairs are required.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to reduce equipment downtime and maintain production and operational continuity during maintenance and qualification activities.
• Coordinate and oversee third‑party service providers to support calibration, maintenance, and compliance requirements.

Secondary Functions:

• Support inventory management efforts by identifying required spare parts and assisting with sourcing and procurement activities.
• Collaborate with peers by sharing technical knowledge and offering informal support to promote team efficiency and consistency.
• Assist in investigations of equipment‑related deviations by providing technical input and documentation as needed.
• Stay informed of industry best practices, regulatory updates, and technical advancements; engage in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain dependable attendance and flexibility to work off‑hours, stay late or come in on short notice—including weekends, holidays—based on operational needs.

Required Experience and Education:

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 7 years of hands‑on experience in calibration and/or facilities maintenance.
• Trade School Certification in a relevant technical field with at least 3 years of experience in calibration and/or facilities maintenance.
• Valid Technical License applicable to calibration or maintenance work, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or a related discipline with at least 2 years of directly related experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in calibration and/or facilities maintenance.

Preferred Experience and Education:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving capabilities and sound judgment when diagnosing and resolving equipment or operational issues; proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
• Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Prior experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with cleanroom gowning protocols and experience using sanitizing agents for equipment cleaning and disinfection procedures.
• Initiative: Demonstrates proactive behavior in identifying and addressing issues, seeking opportunities for improvement, and taking action without direct supervision.
• Problem Solving: Capable of analyzing complex situations, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions to overcome challenges and improve processes. Advanced troubleshooting is required for analytical and complex equipment.

This position involves a combination of hands‑on work in operational areas and office‑based responsibilities. This role may occasionally require work outdoors and in environments with elevated noise levels. While performing job duties, the employee may also be exposed to laboratory settings that include moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, biological agents, and potentially hazardous or caustic chemicals.

Travel required:

Minimal travel will be required for team events.
