Job summary

Keysight El Segundo Facility is seeking a Calibration Technician to calibrate and adjust company and multi-vendor measurement equipment, using automation platforms and performing manual procedures. You will contribute to developing calibration procedures, ensure changes are documented, and manage workload to satisfy service center goals.

The role requires a Bachelors or Masters degree with 3–5 years in calibration, strong Windows/MS Office skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent.
• Typically 3-5 years directly related experience in calibration for entry to this level.
• Solid working knowledge of Windows, MS Excel, MS Word and Outlook.
• Maintain a positive attitude and provide constructive dialogue with respect to business strategies, direction and policies.
• Requires general proficiency with tools, systems and procedures to accomplish job.
• Learn new, emerging technologies rapidly; quickly become proficient in calibration support and adjustment as new products are introduced.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and perform adjustments on company and multi-vendor electronic measurement and test equipment.
• Use test automation platforms and software to perform calibrations.
• Perform manual calibration procedures on measurement and test equipment.
• Solve problems requiring breadth/depth of knowledge of calibration, metrology principles, and preventative maintenance techniques; recommend corrective actions to enhance the process.
• Use software skills and/or technical ability to fix, enhance or develop calibration procedures; ensure changes are approved and documented.
• Factor volume, priority, customer expectations, and service center goals into daily decisions.
• Maximize asset use, multitask, and ensure resources are used properly.
• Maintain high workmanship standards and deliver on commitments.
• Provide consistent, solid contribution to team and service center delivery goals.
