Job summary

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) CalFresh and Nutrition Branch seeks an Analyst III to lead CalFresh legislation coordination and special policy projects. You will manage projects tied to federal and state legislation, waivers, and policy development to support county welfare departments across California.

You will collaborate with the Office of Legislation, county associations, federal agencies, and stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely analyses and compliant policy

Qualifications

• Experience tracking, interpreting, or implementing legislation, regulations, or program policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead CalFresh legislation coordination and special policy projects.
• Serve as liaison between intradepartmental divisions and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate bill analyses and ensure timely quality submissions in LAS and EBR.
• Communicate with program areas and leadership to determine need for analyses and waivers.
• Support development and submission of federal waivers.
