Job summary

Responsibilities

• Monitor calves daily for signs of illness, injury, stress, dehydration, lameness, respiratory disease, or other health concerns.
• Identify and move sick calves for evaluation and treatment.
• Assist with diagnosis and treatment under veterinary direction.
• Administer medications, vaccines, electrolytes, and treatments per protocols.
• Assist with vaccination programs and processing procedures, including tagging and record keeping.
• Collect health data and maintain records of treatments and mortality.
• Monitor treatment response and report health concerns to management.
• Assist with necropsies and sample collection as directed by the Staff Veterinarian.
• Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies in a clean, biosecure manner.
• Follow animal welfare standards and humane handling of livestock.
