Job summary

Intertek is seeking a full-time Petroleum Inspector to join the Caleb Brett team in Tucson, AZ. The role involves on-site inspections at client locations, capture of custody transfer data, and coordination with terminal, transport and company personnel to ensure accurate results.

You will perform volume and temperature measurements, sampling, visual inspections, and routine equipment calibrations, while maintaining safety procedures and timely reporting of findings.

Qualifications

• Basic grasp of mathematics and ability to work in an automated environment.
• Availability for on-call and travel as business needs dictate.
• No fear of heights; ability to climb ladders and stairs for shore tanks.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Physical ability to lift, walk, stand, reach, bend, stoop, climb, squat, and drive as required.
• Must be able to perform the duties described above with competency.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to Caleb Brett safety procedures.
• Seal tanker trucks at third‑party terminals.
• Perform volume measurement, temperature measurement, and sampling of commodity materials in lines, shore tanks, cars, and tank trucks.
• Conduct visual inspections on lines, pumps, manifolds, shore tanks, rail cars, and tank trucks.
• Complete custody transfer surveys of commodities transferred to and from rail cars, tank trucks, and shore tanks.
• Perform routine equipment calibrations, verifications, and function checks.
• Communicate results and record data in appropriate media.
• Coordinate with terminal, transport, and company personnel to promote smooth execution of duties.
• Maintain work areas, records, and equipment in a clean, organized, functional condition.
• Ensure timely submission of reports, samples, and other required documentation.

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is actively seeking a full‑time Petroleum Inspector to join our Caleb Brett team. The position is onsite in Tucson, AZ and will travel to client locations for inspections.

What you’ll do
