Job summary

Intertek Caleb Brett is seeking a full-time Petroleum Inspector to travel to client sites in Tucson, AZ for on-site volume, temperature measurements and sampling of commodities. The role involves safety procedures, paperwork, and coordinating with terminals and transport teams.

Candidates must be able to climb ladders, tolerate on-call hours, and hold a valid driver’s license. This position offers growth within a global quality assurance leader and a structured on-site schedule.

Qualifications

Must understand basic math and work in automated environments.
Willingness to travel to client sites on short notice.
No fear of heights; capable of climbing ladders and stairs.
Ability to perform volume, temperature measurement and sampling.
Carry out visual inspections on lines, tanks, rail cars and tank trucks.
Complete custody transfer surveys and document results.
Perform routine equipment calibrations and checks.
Must hold a valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
Adherence to safety practices and company policies.
Able to organize work and meet reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

Understand and adhere to Caleb Brett safety procedures.
Seal tanker trucks at 3rd party terminals.
Perform volume, temperature measurements and sampling of commodities.
Conduct visual inspections on lines, pumps, tanks, rail cars and trucks.
Complete custody transfer surveys of commodities transferred to/from rail cars and tanks.
Perform routine equipment calibrations, verifications and function checks.
Communicate results and enter data into appropriate media.
Coordinate with terminal, transport and company personnel.
Maintain organized work areas and records; ensure timely reporting.
